@popsugar.official When she still hadn't crawled at 18 months, Samantha Jade Durán was diagnosed with multiple chondromatosis (a condition that causes multiple bone tumors). But when her parents sought a second opinion, another doctor diagnosed her with a rare bone disease called fibrous dysplasia (a condition characterized by cartilage-based bone lesions). This went on for years. "I had leg lengthening three times between the ages of 6 and 14." Her left leg was always her "good" leg, until she started noticing some unusual pain right before her high school graduation. At this point, Samantha went to get an X-ray with a new doctor, but instead of getting her results back in the usual five to 10 minutes, she found herself waiting for hours. "When he took that long to come back into my room, I kind of suspected," she tells PS editor Chan Plante. #ChronicIllness#ChronicPain#CancerSurvivor#Disability#Misdiagnosed♬ original sound - Popsugar
